    How our fees work

    No jargon, no small print. Here’s what you pay and when.

    Sending money

    Outbound UK transfers go out over Faster Payments and usually arrive within seconds. You pay a small flat fee per transfer — 20p on Free, 10p on Plus, 5p on Pro, and nothing at all on Ultra. The exact fee is always shown before you hit send.

    Receiving money

    Getting paid is free on every plan. Share your account details and incoming UK payments land in your account without any charge, whatever your plan.

    Cards

    Virtual Visa cards for online spending. Paid plans come with cards included — one on Plus, five on Pro, unlimited on Ultra. Beyond your included allowance a card costs a flat £5, and on Ultra cards are always free.

    International payments

    SEPA and international transfers are on the way. When they launch, pricing will appear on this page first — with the same flat, upfront approach as our UK transfers.

    Create as many invoices as you like at no extra cost. Professional PDFs, automatic VAT, and payment tracking are all built into your Okonome account — nothing to install, nothing extra to pay.

    Invoice numbering is fully configurable: set your own prefix, include the year or month, and choose how numbers are padded.

    Are there hidden fees?

    No. Every fee we charge is listed on this page. If something is free, it stays free — and if a service isn’t priced yet, it’s marked as coming soon rather than charged quietly later.

    Can I change plans later?

    Yes. You can move between Free, Plus, Pro and Ultra at any time from your billing settings. Your fees and card allowances update to match your new plan.

    Can I cancel anytime?

    Yes. There are no long-term contracts. You can cancel your subscription whenever you like and drop back to the Free plan.

    Do I receive a virtual card?

    Plus includes one virtual Visa card, Pro includes five, and Ultra includes unlimited cards. On the Free plan you can order a virtual card for a one-off £5 issuance fee.

    Can I order additional cards?

    Yes. Once you’ve used your included allowance, additional virtual cards cost a flat £5 each. On Ultra, every card is free.

    How are transfers charged?

    Receiving UK payments is always free. Sending money over Faster Payments costs a small flat fee per transfer depending on your plan — 20p on Free, 10p on Plus, 5p on Pro and free on Ultra. You’ll always see the fee before you confirm a payment.

    How does invoicing work?

    Invoicing is built into every Okonome account at no extra cost. Create an invoice, pick a design, and we’ll add your bank details, calculate VAT and email the PDF to your client. You can then track its status through to payment.

    Do I need a UK company?

    Okonome is built for UK businesses. If you don’t have a company yet, you can register one through us — our formation packages start at £49 and include the Companies House fee.

    Can I downgrade?

    Yes, at any time. When you downgrade, future transfers and card orders are simply charged at your new plan’s rates.

    Certain services may not yet be available while Okonome is operating in its sandbox environment. Fees shown represent intended production pricing and may change prior to public launch. All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
